Introduction:
One could argue that
electricity, or the purification of water, or buttered bread was the most
important invention mankind has been fortunate enough to uncover. But you would
be wrong, because there’s one invention in a league of its own, and it comes in
the form of the result of generations of breeding socks and shoes to create the
ultimate mix: the slipper.
A slipper is a semi-closed type of indoor/outdoor shoe, consisting
of a sole held to the wearer's foot by a strap running over (or between) the
toes or instep.
Our Solution
There are many people
in slums who are not capable of purchasing a pair of footwear. They don’t even
know that their health is being affected by not giving importance to their feet.
The first and foremost thing to be healthy is to take care of their feet. So,
we want to reach out such people and donate a pair of slippers and make them
feel healthy and happy.
Why are we donating slippers?
Here are few major
considerations:
- Slippers play an important role in protecting human locomotive organ (Foot).
- Healthy feet allow you to be active which, as we know, has numerous benefits such as keeping weight off; maintaining and improving muscle and bone strength.
- Proper foot care can alert people to early signs of other more serious health issues such as diabetes or poor circulation.
